Brief
Engage hard to reach young audiences in activism and political change through the arts.

Response
A day of music, activist, talks, film and art, designed for audiences who wouldn’t normally engage with activism and to bring them into an environment they wouldn’t normally assume was ‘for them’.

Peter Kosminsky (The Promise, The Government Inspector Britz) and Noel Clarke (Kidulthood) tackled issue-led film making. Reprieve and Ali Hili, founder of Iraq LGBT, discussed gay rights alongside music from Maverick Sabre, Bashy, Afrikan Boy and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly.

The creation of a fanzine live during the event enabled the crowd and the artists to give their thoughts and reactions to the day’s events, the issues raised, as well as giving them a reminder of their day.
